Position Overview: The Remote Site Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking meals at remote locations, ensuring that all food served meets our high standards for taste and quality. The Chef will also be responsible for menu planning, maintaining hygiene standards, and managing kitchen inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Plan menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of clients.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in a hygienic and timely manner.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Train and supervise kitchen assistants and other staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Address and resolve any issues or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef, preferably in remote or high-pressure environments in a remote setting.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work well in a team and lead kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and work schedules.
